Pastor Mike Townsley Pastor Mike has been married to Diane (who is also a pastor at Oxford UMC in Oxford Iowa) since 1975. They have grown children: Eric and his wife Andrea (and a granddaughter too!), Matt and his wife Cassy and Becky and her husband Russ. Mike has been serving the Lord as a pastor for over 18 years. Pastor Mike was raised on a farm in Southeast Iowa.  Before being called into pastoral ministry, Mike worked at a family contract cleaning business/vacuum repair and sales shop. Previous to that he worked in a factory, and did carpentry work. Mike has a passion to introduce people to the Biblical Christ. Although Mike was raised in the United Methodist church, he did not come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior until his late 20's. Mike is an expository Bible teacher which means he teaches through an entire book of the Bible from the pulpit on Sunday mornings. Mike began teaching the book of Matthew upon his arrival at Clover Ridge (that took over 2 years) and since then has preached through Ephesians, part of Acts, Colossians, and is now in the Book of John.   Mike firmly believes the Bible is God's inerrant word and that is our guide for all of life.  Mike is also a Stephen Minister and in his spare time plays with bees, gardens, old tractors and builds websites.
